Stretching Tips
Stretching each day can help supplement regular bodywork sessions. Stretching helps to increase your flexibility, range of motion, quality of motion, and ease of motion. Stretching can also build muscle strength, and prevent muscle injury.

At Russo Massage Therapy, your bodywork session can include Joint Mobilization Stretches (JTMs), and Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF), for upper and lower extremities.
For those of you who enjoy stretching and would like to know more stretches or if you would like to begin stretching, Gail Russo can print you a copy with pictures, of a variety of beginner, intermediate, and advanced stretches. Gail has stretches for specific muscles/regions of the body, i.e., neck, shoulders, back, hips, legs, etc. and/or for specific sports activities that you participate in such as golf, running, cycling, tennis, soccer, kayaking, etc. The stretches are easy to follow and were created by professional athletes and coaches.
