My Requirements of Clients

  1. Appointments/Cancellation — at the time your appointment is scheduled, a credit card number will be requested to secure the appointment. If cancellation is necessary, please give 24-hour notice or your credit card will be charged for the full amount of the missed session scheduled. If no current credit card is on file, you will be invoiced the full amount. If you have a package plan, the missed session will be forfeited/deducted from the plan. If you have a Gift Certificate, the missed session will be forfeited. Emergency cancellations are determined at the practitioner's discretion.
  2. Sessions begin and end at scheduled times. Sessions begun late due to the client arriving late, end at the appointed time and are full price.
  3. If you have a cold, flu, sore throat, stomach virus, poison ivy, skin rash, anything contagious — please reschedule your appointment.  COVID-19 - NC Dept. of Health, CDC, and the Federal of Massage Guidelines are strictly adhered to.  Masks are required before, during, and after session.  
  4. Be present (not under the influence of alcohol or drugs).
  5. Clients must provide a health history and update when necessary.
  6. Payment is expected at the time service is rendered. Cash and credit cards are preferred. No third party checks will be accepted; the check must be from your own account. Payment by check authorizes my "Bad Check Recovery" company to collect a fee of $25.00 through electronic fund transfer from your account if your payment is returned unpaid. You will also be invoiced directly from me, $8.00 for the fee I am charged by my bank for your bounced check.
  7. Sexual harassment is not tolerated. If the practitioner's safety feels compromised, the session is stopped immediately.
  8. This office is a non-smoking, odor-neutral environment.
  9. Be clean, having showered the same day as the treatment.
  10. Do not eat a heavy meal less than two hours prior to the treatment.

What Clients Can Expect From Me

  1. I provide my clients with a competent and professional session each time they come for an appointment, addressing the client's specific needs for that session.
  2. Clients are draped with a sheet at all times during the session. Only the parts of the body being worked on are exposed at any time. The genitals are never exposed or massaged.
  3. Clients are treated with respect and dignity.
  4. I charge a fair price for my services.
  5. Payment is due at the time of service. I accept cash and all major credit cards — see #6 above.
  6. I do not provide direct billing for insurance (this is dictated by NC laws).
  7. Appointments are confirmed the day before the appointment.
  8. I perform services for which I am qualified (physically and emotionally), and able to do.
  9. I refer to appropriate specialists when work is not within my scope of practice and/or not in the client's best interest.
  10. I keep accurate records and review charts before each session.
  11. I customize my treatment to meet the client's needs.
  12. I take pride in staying current with information and techniques by reading, receiving regular sessions (of the same service I provide), and taking at least one workshop per year. My commitment to my clients is to provide "state-of-the-art" bodywork.
  13. I respect all clients regardless of their age, gender, race, national origin, sexual orientation, religion, socio-economic status, body type, and political affiliation, state of health or personal habits.
  14. Privacy and confidentiality are maintained at all times.
  15. My equipment and supplies are clean and safe.
  16. Personal and professional boundaries are respected at all times.
  17. Refunds: Clients may return for refund any unused retail products (in saleable condition) within 10 days of purchase. Gift certificates and package plans may be refunded within 30 days of purchase or transferred to another individual (please let us know who the transfer is made to). If relocating to another State, a refund will be made for the unused, paid-for package plan visits.
